KILTWALK 2023!!!

That's been almost a year since the last one and we are looking forward to getting our team together again for Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity.

Any sponsorship is always so appreciated by the team and the charity that means so much to us as a family.

Thank you xx

Welcome to Team wee Erik

Team wee Erik is a growing and changing team.

A wee line or two from Team wee Erik...

Jo

Erik belongs to me and it's my fault I've dragged my friends into walking all these miles! They mean the world to me!

Karen

You say yes to one favour and end up walking miles! I knew Erik and his family after his diagnosis and his attitude to life is so positive, you just can't say no to wee Erik!

Lisa

I've not long joined Team wee Erik (caved in after months of pressure!) and had the pleasure of meeting Erik himself a wee while ago. This is my first kiltwalk and hopefully it will be the first of many.

Helen

I am very proud to be part of Team wee Erik as head of support. This includes but not limited to cheerleader, jellybaby provider and carrier of plasters and clean socks!

The kids

The amazing kids just want a chance to be involved and obviously get a hotdog at the end all for our good cause!

Alina

I happened to mention an interest
in the Kiltwalk and the next thing I
knew I was part of Team wee Erik!

Marianne

Sarah

A wee walk turns into chumming your sister on a Mighty stride and it's continued for years!

Friendship with Jo and the kids started off lovely and before you know it, you've signed up for 21miles in matching tartan leggings!

The rest of the team

Just don't ask! If we're not walking we're cheerleading somewhere along the way!

Our current cause.

In May 2018 Erik was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was just 14 months old. Since then the team at the Royal hospital for children and young people in Edinburgh has been invaluable and incredibly supportive and through that we have experienced the amazing work the Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity does and wanted to give something back.

Past Challenges

We've covered hundreds of miles since 2018 between training walks and the actual events all in aid of Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity. We hope to continue this over the years and support a cause very close to our heart.
